Auto Kick Error

Installed Crow King's Autokick and it worked fine for a couple of weeks. Then the other day started it up and gave me an run error. Removed program and all folders. Reinstalled 1.2 beta and now when I start I get 'runtime error '76' Path not found. Anybody have any ideas?

Run time error 76 - path not found

Hi there

I just used this forum to try and find the answer to this very same problem but only found your post asking the same question I have.

I have managed to solve it so in true I.T. geek style I came to help you out freak:

Right, be careful as this involves using "regedit" which could screw your operating system if you go crazy in there...

First make sure you go in to Add/remove programs in control panel and remove the autokick if it's still in there, then delete the autokick folder from wherever you have installed it.

Next run "regedit" by typing regedit in the run box on your start menu then select edit then find, first making sure you have high-lighted "my computer" right at the top of the list on the left hand pane in regedit.

type autokick in the box which says find what and then press enter.

when a result appears press the delete key on your keyboard to delete the registry enter for the autokick program. when you delete it press "F3" on keyboard to find next occurance of autokick and delete them all as you find them.

Once done you can re-install regedit and to save problems use the default install path.

The whole problem seems to stem from the uninstaller not working properly for autokick and leaving debris all over your registry, although maybe only if you didn't use the default install path when you installed it. I'm not going to do it again just to find out but hope this cures the fault for you

Cool

Thanks for your help. I thought it might be something like that but was hoping there was a simpler way to do it. Guess it could be worse.
