Rename it to something it can open, then change the name back. So for example Manon.tik to Manon.doc or txt or what ever works for you. This works for some folks. Give it a shot.

Select one .tik or .shader file. Click right mouse button and select open as (or open in application.... I have Finnish XP so i dunno the exact English options). Then from the application list select notepad. You should also check open always option so next time .tik files will be automaticly opend in notepad.

Another way is to add MANUALLY files called .tik and .shader and again MANUALLY set them as notepad files. U can do it from ur windows exploder.

i will try rommels idea

when right clicked open comes up, open as only comes up 4 me (98) when the computer recognizes the file type but dosnt know how to format it

Sgt KIA 12-26-2002 05:49 PM

Assing filetype manually

I can remember doing it under 98. Check tips above how to add a file type manually. It applies to 98 too - maybe a bit different way than in XP.

i will just try rommels idea, and ive told u manual file type, tik or shader is not on list
