The new map adds a file called pak6.pk3.

The blood patch was named pak6.pk3.

Therefore, if you want to use both of them, you need to rename the blood patch's pak6.pk3 to blood.pk3 since this map addon overwrites pak6.pk3 with its own content.

The map's pak also enables all game modes for the first map, no?

If ya scroll down a bit you'll see a post entitled **VERY Important Note Regarding the Map**

I posted it about five minutes after the map came out.

I understand that you were just trying to help, as I was also.

Yeah, but you weren't specific enough for the average user to understand that you were referring to the blood patch.

(Ninety-five percent of the people with a pak6.pk3 that was already there had the blood patch.)

It's not called pak6.pk3 anymore after B.S. and Coriolis or elmagoo posted a post about mods. All mods have been renamed I believe.

LuZZo 12-25-2001 07:19 AM

No your right I said any pak6.pk3 in general, which would include the blood patch. If someone was intelligent enough to download the "patch" then they would know that a pak6.pk3 was in the directory. I would think anyway..

yeah, I did what they suggested and had no problems installing the new map. http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/wink.gif

Yeah, I noticed it was changed on there. However, the people who downloaded the patch around the day it came out recieved a pak6.pk3 file instead of a modified name.

I guess the guy who made it didn't consider the possibility of an update being released for the demo...

piedude 12-26-2001 12:42 AM

rather than call it Pak#.pk3 why not called it Blood.pk3? leave the numbered .pk3 files for the developers! Also it makes it easier to know what is what!

BTW, Since I was the person who found the blood file in Pak2 and told everyone, I changed it long before the patch was released! http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif SO the new map didn't effect me!

Well, I'm going to be a right bragging smart ass right now and tell you that I knew it would happen if it was named pak6. So I renamed the blood pathe pak6 to pak16 :P
