The Hud. Do you use it?
 

i know alot of you guys use the hud to know what your stats are and everything. but are there some of you that dont use it? i for one enjoy turning it off and nailing someone in the chest with my real aim.

no hud = no crosshairs, ammo count/bar, health count/bar, compass, score/timelimit

the way i check the timelimit is TAB to see how long i have been in the server and base it off that. but not knowing how much health and ammo i have left makes me feel like a real soldier.

huh? Uhh...Im n00b...What the heck is the hud? The think when u press tab? If it is, I use it all the time.

LOL!!!!! Its the pictures on your screen... You know, it shows you how many bullets you have, shows you where you are going to shoot. All that shit.

how do you turn it off

Isn't it in the Options menu? HUD: on/off.

no...and i'm in flughafen with allies under the map...how the hell?

for the new guys, the hud is the on screen display of your compass health ammo and score/timelimit. and to turn it off simply type ui_hud 0 in the console and ui_hud 1 to turn it back on. i have it bound to 2 keys for easy toggling. here is an example of what i see when i play Spearhead online. yes i take alot of deaths, but everytime i nail someone, it feels damn good.

naw hud helps too much, plus i dont want some n00b spamming on the server that hes owning me

while your cheating

i also downloaded a notext mod for Spearhead which helps out alot, but it does get irritating sometimes when you cant see whats going on in the server. kinda like a blind spot. though you could just open the console and see whats going on.

I am all for Realism but I would prefer the stats. What I did is i created an HUD mod which gets rid of the useless stuff but what it leaves it is shrinked by 75%

yeah i tried that. wasnt that bad at all. i guess everyone has their own flavor of things.
