Why is it that nobody can find my server on gamespy? I tried to get a game with my friends and none of them can find me. i went into "western front" and started the game with team play and waited and waited. I pressed alt-tab and tried looking for my server on gamespy and couldn't find it. What am i doing wrong? Can anyone help me?

Have you tried looking for it in the different "rooms" for some odd reason my server is showing up in another "room" ?

very weird, man I run a server all the time, and I GUESS it shows up on gamespy, because 5 seconds after I start it I have like 10 people wanting on....I have never tried looking for it,but after you ALT+TAB....try pressing the refresh button at the top of the gamespy browser....

i press the refresh button all the time but it still doesn't show up.... and my friends looked in every room and couldn't find anything. One time i waited about 20 minutes and nobody went on my server.... maybe i should just redownload the demo and install it again.

 What connection are you on??
This might be the same as in quake 3 arena. You make a game and you might have to wait up to 2 hours for it too be listed! I DONT understand why you dont get a list of servers. Are you on a LAN??? |

BTW...What part of N.Y you live?

do you have a adsl or maybe a firewall
and if you are running winxp there is a firewall option you have to untjeck that worked for me |

Can you not run a modest server with ADSL??

ADSL connection you may be able to run a 8-10 player server http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/wink.gif |

 Ditch Lamespy.
I've used it but gone over to Allseeing Eye instead, not so bloated and more functional. Try it. http://www.udpsoft.com/eye/ |
