why is gamespot comparing MOH to Counterstrike???
anyone else notice that on the frontpage? "Allied Assault A sneak peek at the multiplayer modes and gameplay of Medal of Honor. Look out Counter-Strike, there's a new game gunnin' for you." i dont want to be known as a player who is competing with counterstrike dont know about you all out there ------------------ ----Savour Since 1982---- |
I've been playing CS for years (fantasic game), until you get f... tired of it.
now I cant play it more the half an hour and I have to use an excuse to go to the bathroom and puke because of its louse style and "story". I dont think that you can compare MOH:AA with the cocksuckin' game CS. but anyway. have fun. no matter if you're playing CS or MOH:AA. ------------------ http://www.refo.dyndns.dk Welcome to the REAL world. I think the reference to CS is merely that since CS is the most played game on the internet(for FPS' anyway), it better watch out because MOH is going to surpass it(or so they think).

If anything, Global Operations is the one that is supposed to compete with CS. It's created by Barking Dog, the same company that produced CS I believe (not sure). My friend got the beta test and he says it's fun but the CS gameplay is still marginally better.
As for Medal of Honor, I think it's more competition for a game like Day of Defeat - which it has already beaten in server count. I am however still looking towards DoD beta 2. |
Maybe they think that MoHAA is going to be the next CS in terms of online players.
For now it's not even close, but who knows what would happen when the full game comes out? Sure a lot of people dissed the demo when it first came out, but more are dissing CS, and people keep playing it even though they badmouth it to death on public forums. http://www.gamespy.com/stats/ Personally, I would see MoHAA below halflife but kick the shit out of RtCW in terms of player numbers. More people are playing the demo every single day, instead of less, and that tells you a thing or two http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif |
