It could be a problem with your video card/3D card. Can you please post your specs?

Wilko 01-04-2003 05:22 AM

VWolf, if it was a hardware thing, surely the rest of the game wouldn't work as well.

If you're some sort of expert, i'll leave you to it, i'm just throwing in my two cents :P

Bucknub 01-04-2003 06:03 AM

I'd reinstall

rudedog 01-04-2003 07:00 AM

vvolf is just trying to help.

It's could also be a mod you have installed. I would try this
uninstall all mods see if that helps
reinstall the game see if that helps
try another video card see if that helps (from a friend)

My friend plays CS and he brang his computer to a LAN game with me and some mates. We installed AA and it looked really messed up. But it didn't look brown. It had blue and pink people and you couldnt see the floor, or the map. And you could see the cars/tanks but they looked like dark blue figures. So, we opened up his puter, and gave him my NVIDIA GeForce4 video card and it worked. So, i figured that Monkey#1's problem was the same, but with different effects due to a different video card.

And Rude is right. I am just trying to help. hey rudedog, i'll see if i can get your avatar that i made back up again. (You know... the one without the white bits around it.

I am running video from the Intel(r) 82810E Graphics Controller that came with my IBM NetVista computer. My OS is ME 4.90.3000.

I got a 17 inch IBM E74 monitor.

I plan to re-install in a few hrs unless someone can spot any problem with this setup. I can run other games fine.

thx bigzooka: M16:

Before anyone recommends going out a buying a new video card, let's try the simplest solution to most problems:

1) Remove ALL maps, mods, skins, etc from your MOH\main folder. Boot up MOH, see if it fixes. If not,

2) Upgrade your video card drivers from your manufacture. If it's a GeForce card, goto http://www.nvidia.com. Once installed, reboot, then run config.EXE in the MOH directory. Boot up MOH. If it dosen't work. . .

2) Reinstall MOH: http://mohaa.xgshosting.com/joe/installguide.htm

He's using the Intel 810E Integrated graphics decelerator, which also means
he probably doesn't have an AGP port available for most modern video cards. I recently pulled out an old 440GX dual processor mobo for use at work and had to get a GeForce 440MX PCI card because the AGP port was the 1.0 variety and won't handle the lower voltages of the newer cards.

Anyways, the Intel 810E video card is a real turd. I had it on my Dell at work and that is why I brought in my own PC built from leftover parts from upgrades over the years (With the exception of the 440MX card since I needed a PCI solution). I tried to install MOH and Spearhead and they wouldn't run on that card. I would suggest investigating whether you have an AGP slot for a dedicated video card and if not, look into PCI solutions. The I810e video card does not support many of the more advanced features of modern video cards. It is really for business/web use rather than gaming. I wouldn't normally recommen a GeForce 4 MX card, but if you need PCI that or possibly ATI is the way to go as ATI has not forsaken the PCI market.

You may try upgrading the I810 drivers from Intel's website as well.

That is the latest driver for your card.

Another problem may be corruted texture files since it is only occuring on certain maps, which will require a re-install, but current drivers are almost never a bad thing either.
