OMG! it scared the shit outta me! i never watch those kinda movies! i just went back & watched the brazil video again & it freaked me out just as much as before! great movie though.

Yea, when the movie first came out, i saw it in theaters and since it has a bigger screen and 10x louder volume, i almost crap in my pants especially the part when Mel Gibson went out to the field alone with his flashlight...

Magnum 01-09-2003 11:08 PM

Brazil? That movie was so crazy. I saw it as a midnight movie; I was so tired I had no idea what to make of it.

Signs was good. Bit of scare, bit of semi-obvious plot/moral developments.

I think he was talking about the video of the birthday in Brazil when the alien walks by...but I could be wrong.

Anyway, yeah great movie. I'm not a horror guy muself, but I went and bought this one. Saw it in theatres and then got it ontuesday. I'll watch it this weekend.

That that part, where the alien walked by... they made it so real but the alien looks mad fake oOo:

ninty 01-09-2003 11:29 PM

Yeah.

I didn't think it looked too fake. They made it look like a home movie, so it isn't supposed to be crystal clear or anything. And with all the kids screaming and stuff it made it so freaky.

Magnum 01-09-2003 11:32 PM

Uh, yes, I am a moron. Whatever, my other point still stands.

SoLiDUS 01-10-2003 02:03 AM

Bah. Too many logical fallacies to be called a good movie...

The brazilian birthday video DID scare the fucking shit out of me, though...

ed: oOo: ed:

That film blew so much, heres a proper outlook on it.

The end sucked. If the kid's asthmuh (sp?) had closed his lungs so the poison couldn't get in then he would have sufficated the whole time the brother was beating the shit out the alien with the bat.

Sorry about the spoiler but the end is stupid... oOo: The rest of the movie was very good though.

Judas 01-10-2003 05:10 AM

i thought the same thing akuma .. what a let down. they handled the whole "alien" thing nicely throughout the whole film and then the ending .... ... oOo: it was pretty damn freaky ... the part where the new report showed the alien guy cross the backyard scared the shit outta me...

i also saw minority reports. GREAT story ! If you havent seen it , check it out eek:

Star85 01-10-2003 06:05 AM

Try seeing The Ring for a scare.

Sergeant_Scrotum 01-10-2003 06:26 AM

LMAO at the review. that scene in brazil was so freaky though, in the begining you think it will come out of the back yard or something but then they all run over & ahh!

Chavez 01-10-2003 07:08 AM

Signs was bolooks. I hated it.

Bane 01-10-2003 07:11 AM

I would have liked an alien movie. I might have liked a religious movie. Signs combined the two and it sucked. The alien scenes were good; they gave me a good scare. His battle with his faith didn't seem to fit the rest of the movie. Ex: When the aliens are attempting to break into their house and Mel's got his kid in the hallway telling him about his birth?!? Do you have time for this? Aliens have landed fer cryin' out loud!! Break out the 12 gauge dammit!! The best part is when Phoenix sees the Brazil video on the news. That was hilarious.
