Video editing
 

Does anyone know what kind of program i need to edit a video. Im not talking about fades and titles and sounds, i mean for example a clip on my computer already in digital of some guy supposedly fireing a gun. I want to add in a muzzle flash. What program could i do this in. Like layer an animation on top of the video. Like that resident evil video gerard posted. You know crapy animation like that, nothing complicated.

After Effects? not sure

Afaik adobe premiere can do stuff like that.
