XP pro question...
...I was trying to make Office'97 compatible with winXPpro, and somehow get this message on startup now:
CANT RUN 16-BIT WINDOWS PROGRAM Insufficient memory to run this application. Quit one or more Windows application and try again. ...anyone know what thats about? P4 2.4 with 512DDR memory |
XP does not use 16 bit , as far as I know 97 is not compadable with XP.

I think it's time to upgrade mate. A 16Bit application will not run properly, if at all, in XP. Try the Compatibility Mode by right clicking the mouse on the Office 97 executable and using the Windows 95 or 98 Modes. Go into the Memory tab and choose EMS and XMS Memory modes at 1024 each. That may work, but I doubt it. Good luck.
