Does any1 know why the patch won't work for me?
 

I downloaded the patch off ea, MOHAA_UKUS_ONLY_patch111v9safedisk.exe and tried installing it and it extracts and stuff, but then says "The UK or US version of mohaa was not found on your computer. Setup will now exit" and disappeared.

I have Windows 2k and the game is working fine no problems i can see but the patch doesn't detect it. I even reinstalled it in exactly the folder it said and it still ignores it

I have had this problem with a patch for another game, it said i didn't have it on the pc when i did, i don't kno if its a problem with my computer or win 2k, but does anyone know how to fix it?

One last thought; i have got a demo of it installed on the computer, might that be the problem?

You've got the demo and the full game? Get rid of the demo. Try downloading the patch from somewhere else, like Fileplanet.

At first, I thought this topic might've been about trying to stop smoking...

Yes, I also recommend that you try eliminating the demo. Also, make sure you have V1.11 for MOH:AA, or else the patch for SH won't apply.

Ok this may help. This is a zip file I have thus you will not see the graphics. also disregard the v1.1 use the latest version

Get the 1.10 patch here (16MB)
Get the 1.10 UK Patch here (16MB)
Do not (!!) install yet

Open Regedit (Start > Run > regedit)

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > EA GAMES



Rightclick the folder named 1.1.12.xxx where xxx is some number (depends on your version) and select "RENAME"
100 means UK Version
200 means US Version
130 means, uhm, some other version I guess ;-)

Change the name to 1.1.12.200 for the US Patch and to 1.1.12.100 for the UK Patch

INSTALL THE PATCH
You're set to update.
Now you may need a new no cd crack to play again

Yeah sorry few things i didn't make clear this is the patch for mohaa im trying 2 get i don't have spearhead

Deleting the demo didn't work hake:

one weird thing, if i run configure.exe it tells me stuff i think in german; does it do that for everyone. All the folder names are in german its just this i wonder if the shop gave me a german version or something for some reason. No hang on cant be i can see the swastikas.
