Mortars in my map? Help please.
 
How do I make a Mortar in my map that I can use?
Please help me out on this one.

1. you need to have Spearhead installed
2. mortars are can be found by 'right-clicking' and looking in the 'addon' section, german, turretweapons,... I think. You'll only see a big black box though in Radiant. You generally need to sink the box 8 to 16 units below the terrain to have it line up right....takes some adjusting, don't remember specifics.
3. If you want to mod the range of the mortar you need to edit the tiki file 'gravity' setting. It's something like 1.5 now... I found that .5 to .7 is pretty good for decent range...although it shoots longer meaning that even the minimum range increases. But I always thought the 1.5 made it virtually useless.
4. IF you mod the tiki file, be sure your sky box is TALL or the shells disappear into the top.

Well I just dont get it?

Ive placed the Mortar on my map.

then what?

1. Do I press "N" and typ some thing in on that Entity?

2. I open up my Mapname.SCR file and script somthing?

Im really lost on this on, my map must have Mortar on it.
Im almost done, its just the bloody Mortar that have to be there, then I will send in my map so u all can try it out.

My last map Ive made was Normandy Bridge.

If you have the mortar in there, you need to compile the map and when you go into Spearhead, load the map and it should be there. In the editor you only see the black box. I'm not sure what your issue is. Can you be more clear?

I've never had a problem with them, getting them lined up with the ground is the hardest part. IF you want to edit the tiki file you need to find the pk3 that has it, I don't remember, and export it, edit the 'gravity' value and repack the pk3. Other than that I need you to explain more.
