How stupid do companies think people are?
Just looking at the back of a tube of superglue and it says:
"May cause harm if taken internally". Well no shit, its not exactly meant to be eaten by anyone. Then we get to the best part, "avoid contact with eyes". oOo: +++ , Jesus i would never have thought of that, superglue stick things in seconds so the first thing i was gonna do was test if it could stick my eyball to my eyelid. The we come to a packet of monitor wipes. "Do not use product on the human body". oOo: Just as well i read that, i always wanted to use monitor wipes to wash myself with rather than shower gel or soap. oOo: Do they intentionally make these retard proof so they don't get used or what? Any moron intentionally squirting glue into his eyes has obviously got issues and probably deserves to spend the rest of his life minus one eyeball anyway. |
Heres a few really stupid ones...
Bowl Fresh Safe to use around pets and children, although it is not recommended that either be permitted to drink from toilet. Dremel Electric Rotary Tool This product not intended for use as a dental drill. Endust Duster This product is not defined as flammable by the Consumer Products Safety Commision Regulations. However, this product can be ignited under certain circumstances. |
Nothing beats the army. We have MRE's (Meal Ready to Eat.) Basically, it's food you can eat cold or hot. So for the main course, they give you this bag with chemicals in it to heat up your food. Yes, there's the casual warnings and stuff, but theres also a big ol picture of a guy drinking from the bag, with a big X over it, heh
Not only that, but for the instructions, you're sopposed to lean the bag at about a 30-degree angle, so it says "prop on rock or something" Something. . hmm .. .Ill prop it on this pile of poo here! |
Problem is, for everyone of those warnings there are probalbly a half dozen idiots that have done exactly what the warning said not to, and then tried to sue the company for a dangerous product.

its not the companies that are stupid, its the people. the companies are just trying to protect themselves from fraudulent lawsuits by jackasses that blame their own misfortunes on a product or service. example being that fat ass who tried to sue all of the major fast foot chains because he was overweight from the food he ate there everyday. really, i didnt know u could fat eating big mac's all day. or the lady who sued mcdonalds because she spilled a hot coffee on her lap and got burned. (hence the warning on coffee lids) those are just two off of the top of my head. i personally believe these warnings are used to protect these companies from morons.
