VIDEO CARD UPDATE QUESTION

Ok, im about to install a thing to update my video card
But it says:
The software you are installing for this software:
NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420
has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP.
Continuing your installation of this software may impair or destablize the correct operation of you system either immediately or in the future. Microsoft strongly recommends that you stop this installation now and contact the hardware vendor for software that has passed Windows Logo testing.
Choices: Continue anyways OR STOP installation
What should I do? Please tell me if you know for SURE...this depends if it messes up my pc or not

do you mean a driver for it? check nvidia's website and see if they have a XP compatible driver for your card

AND, when I open MOH it says: GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem WTF? This never happened b4!

Continue anyways. Your driver might be a beta or some other unofficial one.

yeah i recently got a new vid card and that came up, i continued with it no problems...but in ur case there IS a conflict so just go to the website and go to the archive and find the older driver ...it works about the same and sometimes runs better and is more compatible than the old one with games...

DO IT

i run xp and get that all the time. dont worry about it. install the driver. IF I WASNT ABSOLUTELY SURE ABOUT THIS I WOULDNT TELL YOU TO PROCEED. INSTALL IT AND FORGET IT..YOULL SEE THAT AGAIN SOMETIME ALONG THE WAY. IT JUST MEANS MICROSOFT HASNT TESTED IT ...THEY CANT TEST EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD SO THATS HOW THEY COVER THEIR ASSES. YOULL BE FINE.

1) Most drivers will give you that error, but make sure you are using the certified drivers for the GF card. (That means they are from either microsoft.com, nvidia.com or the cardmakers site. Go for nvidia.com) The most reliable drivers for MOH right now are 30.82. You can find them at http://www.voodoofiles.com/type.asp?cat_id=4 (5th down)

2) That error means your drivers aren't good for MOH, and you need to update them, follow above. Also, make sure you run config.exe in the MOH directory once the drivers are installed.
