Hi i was wondering if i could get some one to help. Ever since i networked my brothers pc to mine my server wont show up in gamespy. Before i networked it showed up. Yes i made sure it was enabled in the cfg file which is spearhead btw. I disabled the winidows xp firewall too. Any suggestion

Well the way i set it up was put 2 Nics in my PC cable modem goes to my pc then crossover cable goes to nic in other PC I dont have a router or switch

so it sounds like you have now put yourself behind a nat more or less. Now we get into ip forwarding or port forwarding i believe. i cant get that deep due to lack of knowledge but i am sure somebody here can help. Hang tight!

ok i will research this a little more because youre right i am using a nat for the network the one that comes with XP

You need to forward some ports on your router. Find your manual for your router, find the 800 number and call them up and ask how. Most likely, they will talk you through it in less than 5 minutes. For MOH you need to forward ports 12203 and maybe 12205, but I am not sure if those are all.

I dont have a router i am using microsoft ICS nat to share the internet connection. Does anyone know to forward ports in windows xp?I tried to dabble in the advanced properties of tcp/ip setting but nothing worked. I tried to go to a web site with a tutorial tfo.servebeer.com but got a 404 error
help! how to i forward ports through a NAT
