Enfield Rifle Glitchy! Anyone else thing so?
Does anyone else's Enfield glitch?
I shoot, there isn't any gunshot sound and it takes like 5 seconds for it to show the animation? In the mean time I don't know if I hit my target or if I'm dead because the animations stops everything. I've checked my FPS and PING everything is copasetic. Just wondering if this is another wonderful EA glitch they didn't have time to look after before rushing this marvelous piece of shyt to market. Anyone know of a cure? Other than uninstalling and staying with MOHAA as I originally intended to do? Captain Canuck (we need some Matrix smilies man...where are the Matrix smilies??) |
make sure all your map pk3s are in main and not mainta. other than that welcome to an ea product
|
It has always been like this and always will its like that witht he mosin to which sucks and EA is shit and will never fix it
|
Man i thought i was the only one having problems with the sound
|
Well, at least I know I'm not alone. There must be come type of patch the Community can come up with to fix this. Might be the coding if off a milli or something? Don't know, not a codey.
Well, thanks for the replies. Captain Canuck bigzooka: EA GAMES |
sound issues
I was having some serious sound issues with nearly all my games, including MOHAA and -SH, using an old Yamaha dsxg sound card. Lag, choppy animations and what-all. I replaced the SC with a SB512 card and man, what a difference. No lag, no choppiness, and even more bizarre, my network connection improved.
My impression is that some of the newer games are using hardware specific features that older cards don't support, and thus have to be emulated in software, resulting in overhead and reduced game fidelity. So you might consider upgrading your sound card if it is more than a couple years old. |
What kind of sound card do you have?
I have a SoundBlaster Live! and I had the same problem. Here something to try if you have the same card: 1.Go to Programs, Creative, Audio HQ, Sound Font. 2.Select the third tab, Options. You can allocate a little less than half of your system RAM to the sound font cache. This helps, but does not cure the sound dropping out. Zone |
Its either another one of EA's wonderful glitches or...
It could be a mod... freak: |
I have a Soundblaster Live! Gamer pre 5.1. I may just buy a new one because it gives me a reason to buy something new for my rig.
In the meantime, I'll give allocating a lower share of my ram a go too. However, I have 620 (or something near that configuration), I can't see the sound eating that much of it. And lastly,....I HATE EA GAMES, Blahhhhh ram you EA Games...why can't you beta test your products properly like everyone (sic) else in the gaming industry. OR ATLEAST GIVE OUT PATCHES QUICKLY?????? Thank you for letting me rant. Captain Canuck. (WHERE THE HELL DID MY SIG GO?) M16: |
Your sig was on DK666's site that went boom. Shoulda backed up your sig.

I figured as much. I did, just at work and I noticed it was not coming up. I'll have to find another place to upload it.
Thanks Zoner.... Captain Canuck |
|
Well, I did was you said Zoner...and it worked. I was able to get full animation and sound. Didn't freeze for the usual 5 secs.
Thanks....made the game a little more pleasurable to play. Captain Canuck. eatthis: |
