Military strategy in Iraq
 

What are the plans? Or, what do you think the plans will be? Don't joke around here, this is a serious discussion. mwah:

I'd say punishing bombardment and surgical air strikes against key military targets would be the first order of business. Cruise missile strikes from the fleet in the Gulf are a certainty.

You needn't worry...they will pound the beejeezus out of them before sending in ground forces.

That's my guess, anyway.

You are probably correct. Except unfortantly. Saddam is ruthless those key milatary targets will have more civilians in them than soldiers.

soften up their SAM sites first using F/A-18s, F-16s and F-117s, then attack tanks using F/A-18s, F-16s- F-15s and A-10s while the B-52s and B-1s work on military installations. add some AH-64s to the tank fray. then send in the M1A2s and the troops.

1000 or so cruise missles then the aircraft then ground troops. I wouldnt wanna be livin there!

If he does have them he will use them,.,, on anyone that he can reach with them, including is own people. But of course, our threating to use nuclear weapons if he does is different, because we aren't madmen.

Ok..say Iraq launches a scud filled with anthrax into an Isaeli city. Tel-Aviv. Israel has said they would nuke him if he does that...how will the US retaliate to a bio/chem/nuclear attack on our troops?

Sending troops in would be the right thing so not very many civilians die, but more americans would dye so i say the send some cruise missles to military targets like zoner said

cruise missiles aren't very useful when you put military installations right next to civilian housing, same with putting SAM sites next to mosques so HARM missiles will slam into them
