Need a good AVI editing program
 

Alright I got all my clips for a small quick DoD vid. Problem is, I can't find a good SIMPLE editing program.

I tried Adobe Premier, but godamn! That shits got more buttons than a stealh bomber! I have no idea WTF I was doing with it! All I want is to do some simpling cutting,pasting,editing, some effects, and text. Nothin else, no shaders or whatever the fuck!

Maybe try that thing that comes with the PSP 7 trial from Jasc. I easily edited frames, and added stuff to them when messing with a couple .gifs, dunno how it will be for a longer .avi. Might be worth a try, I found it pretty simple.

How did you make the video? I try going to console and type "record myvid cd" but then when i type "stop" to end it and exit the game and find the recording its in some strange format thats not viewable.

I go into the console and type "record butt?" then when I'm done I put in "stop" and it's done.

Yea we actually kicked some members out for using openGL hacks and shit. Plus there is a guy that is always playing on our server and it's totally obvious he cheats, yet everyone is convinced it's just his skill. So I got and admin to spec him and the guy couldn't hit side of a barn, then the admin leaves and all sudden this guys shooting tics off a gnats ass. I mean like the split second Admin leaves he's capping amazing shots like nothing.

Sigh, one day they'll see.

I've never heard of OpenGL hacks...I occasionally get blamed for an aimbot because the BAR is so wild, I get a lot of headshots and the sound plays a lot. I should use that record feature, just for the heck of it. Does it screw up the server or lag you like in Q3 games like JK2 did?

Man, I'm wicked bomb ass wit BAR!! I just try and compinsate for the recoil by aiming down a little bit. Plus usually I just crouch quick go for upper body and get the kill.

Making vids is fun, but it's a bitch casue of the BMP! Anywho, I can' get that program cause of my wonderfully outdadted windows 98!

What type of file is the recording? Mine ends up as a DEM file and i have nothing to open that kind of thing. What do you open your demo files with?
