HOLY HAND GRENADE!!

is it possible for someone to make the Holy Hand Grenade (Monty Python and Worms Armeggedoon) but for Allied Assault? Like, not just make an orange skin, but make a new model?

hmm. not gonna work -- for aa. SH models dont work in aa. For possible remodeling: what it should look like?

true
still tho, the holy hand grande from Monty Python was like a ball wih a cross sticking out of the top (if i remember right) It waspearly with gold designs on it, not too hard to do, too bad i suck at scripting or i would do it myself...
i think that doing it for SH is the easiest way, otherwise, with the standard AA game it would look kind of dumb, unless you took the steilhandgranate and somehow turn it into a cross, that would be cool....

pics are here (scroll down a bit): http://www.cc.gatech.edu/~pparker/grenade.html

Skinning doesnt have too much to do with scripts.... But i dont think that a new grenade can be made with a cross attached to it. It could be made without the cross on it. Just edit the grenade file of your choice in pak 1 and zip the texture up... I dunno though, this is white and gold and may be considered neon.......

Maybe ill give it a shot sometime, maybe tonight

HeadUp 02-06-2003 10:32 AM

i meant scripting as in putting the edited .tga files back together and into a .pk3 playable in the game. I get an invisible man in the game every time i try to "script" a skin for example. In addition, im too lazy to try hard enough to get it working, ill get it sometime...

Thats still not really scripting, thats just editing a tik file. Try taking a tik file that you want to base your mod on, then renaming it. Look in the tik file, then see what textures it uses. Extract those from the pak its in and edit the textures, then just zip the whole thing into a pak file. This is an easy way to make crap.

thx bro, poss you will see some of my adobe skills reflected in actual skins...

Holy hand grenade: a proto

well, its possible to make custom models. Heres a prototype. I know it hasnt anything to do with WW2 but i wanted to mess with this one. Still learning. Another thing is its texture, lol, which cries out for a better skin. biggrin:
