Another n00b tech question....

Yea erm, im such a n00b at tech shit, but erm anyways, i was just wondering, would getting a sound card like audigy make headphones any better?

No. Headphone quality is independant of your sound card's quality: you
could have the best headphones and a SB 16; which would give you bad
sound. Also, you could have crappy headphones and the best soundcard
in the world and you wouldn't really be able to enjoy it. If your headset
has the potential for great sound, getting a sound card that can deliver
to it would be nice...

But

Some sound cards are crap for Headphones, the onboard ones anyway. A friend of mine had low volume in his headphones with settings on high. Got a new $30 sound card...problem solved.

I've got a on board sound card, really crappy but still it sounds good on headphone.

The best headphones you can get are usually the ones that come with padding around them, and cover your ears entirely, like the ones that ChickenBoo uses for gaming.
