sound problems
when playing the game, the allied weapons are the only weapons I can actaully here..the others just shoot, I can't tell exactly what is going on..I have removed all mods and still nothing? should I just reinstall the game and see what happens??
thanks for the help in advance |
I'm guessing that this is Spearhead, but please confirm this; Allied Assault or SH?
Make sure you are using V2.11 if it's spearhead, or V1.11 for Allied Assault. This is a known issue, and hopefully will be patched by EA sometime soon. I believe Zoner91 has posted a fix for this in the meantime numerous times. |
yes SH and I will search for the workaround fix from zoner..thanks..

I'll save you the effort... biggrin:
I have a SoundBlaster Live! and I had the same problem. Here's something to try if you have the same card: 1.Go to Programs, Creative, Audio HQ, Sound Font. 2.Select the third tab, Options. You can allocate a little less than half of your system RAM to the sound font cache. This helps, but does not cure the sound dropping out. Zone |
exactly the same i have the live! value card..i will try that when I get home..

Kewl man...should help a bit. You'll still get some sound dropping, however. At least you'll hear 'em enough to use them.

Hey Zoner 91,
I have SBLive! (and therefore can't hear certain sounds) but I don't have AudioHQ installed, and as of the moment, cannot find the CD for it either. I found a site which actually has the 350some odd MB CD online but, predictable, I cannot get it to install properly (script error I believe). Is there a way to allocate system RAM to the soundfont cache without using AudioHQ? I'd appreciate your help, since neither the German or American sniper rifles work (or UK / USSR rifles and SMGs; sigh) Thanks! |
Hrm, I dunno man. Never tried it without AudioHQ.
Have you tried contacting Creative tech support? Zone |
