Essentials for a newbie
 

I was wondering what must have things a newbie should have in his arsenal. Ive been playing online a lot lately and have seen a bunch of people talk about realism patches and other mods. I already have one of the most importent files...the v1.11 patch and was wondering what other things you guys think I should have. Thanks

If you are not hosting a server, there isn't much. If you want to use a different scope, compass, HUD, avatar, or skins, you can download them here at AA.COM. Otherwise Realism mods and etc. don't really make a difference.

binding these on the console may prove usefull at times..

bind KEY "say newb"
bind KEY "say rocket whore"
bind KEY "say shotguns are gay"
bind KEY "say bs"
bind KEY "say k"
bind KEY "say cheater"
bind KEY "say yeah right"
bind KEY "say lag"
bind KEY "say no skill"

Just replace KEY with the key on your keyboard you will be adding these to.

Redsoccerdevils hud mod and maps, but you can download maps as you need them. Other than that, its all fluff.
