Think my computer could handle around 18-26 people?

I have a connection that is 300k faster then t1
athlon xp 1900 256mb ram geforce 2 gts asus mobo how do u think it will run? no dedicated? |

 18 people... maybe
	 |

Probably NOT. Your processor could take it but not your RAM. MAYBE if your ram is DDR. Are you talking dedicated server or playing with them?
	 |

no im playing with them... and yeah its ddr.... so how many people u think it will be able to handle and a really smooth rate?
	 |

Well, you could probably run 12-16 people smoothly. If you can, connect to your server with another pc or a friend's to see how it's running

well i played with 6-7 people... we threw loads of smoke gernades and had a rocket wars and they all said there was no lag at all....so waht do u guys think? when i tried to make a room, not enough people would go in to see if my comp could handle it or not.....

Well, you should be fine then

People mostly want to go into servers with like 32 players. I find that when playing with 16 or less, things tend to go slow. It's more exciting playing with a bunch more people.

would ram make a big differnce with this? how many people would i get if i added 256 mb of ram more?....and how much if i add 512 mb ram more?

Like Joe said, your biggest botlleneck will be your connection. Have you actually tested your connection? Be sure you are testing UPLOAD speed NOT download speed. Go here to test: http://bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/fut.html
Normally a T1 will handle about 20 players. I would also make sure you have at least 512 mb ram. |

I dunno man...18-26 people on your computer. That's a lot of weight. biggrin:
