Hello all,

I just wanted to get your opinion on something. I have been thinking about changing the name of my future squad. While doing the website, I wanted to put up some history of the division, but their isn't that much to go on. That's one of the reasons why I picked the 34th, was because they really didn't have that much history, and I'd never seen a squad with that division name before.

However, I was thinking about changing it to one of the more well known division names, like 1stSS "LAH", 2ndSS "Das Reich", 3rdSS "Totenkopf", 5thSS "Wiking", 9thSS "Hohenstaufen", 12thSS "Hitlerjuged", etc. What do you guys think?

Should I stay or should I go? http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/biggrin.gif It's no big deal, but I just wondered what you guys thought.

A Germen Clan name would be for a game like WWII Online, but since MOH:AA is based on American Soldiers, I think it should be somewhat a US Military Division (Squad). Just my 2 Cents into it http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/smile.gif

there's a big possibility that german soldiers in allied assault will be available
for multiplayer .

Hans 06-28-2001 03:28 AM

I'm pretty sure there will be German soldier models in multi-play, It would look really odd if there were 2 groups of American soldiers fighting each other. Also, there were German soldier models for both PSX versions for multi-play, so there will probably be German models in this version as well.

Jesus Christ! Calm down... Ok first off, I know they were going to be in Multiplayer part, but whats the fun in being the Enemy. Also, CLAN, SQUAD, CLIQ, GROUP, bah! It's all the same to me in a GAME. "Clan" is just the standard name in Online FPS's. It doesn't mean it needs to be some Gothic Style type of game. It's just the old-skool way. Im an 'ol skoola.

haha jerry, maybe like 5th squad, its kind of stupid to make names now because the game doesnt come out for 4 months

Von Paulus 06-28-2001 11:36 PM

Um, 101st Airborne...Maybe...Ok...No...Oh, Well (bashes head on desk)

Wolfshook 06-29-2001 12:11 AM

Well it's not really stupid since I'm playing DOD, and will be playing Operation Flashpoint soon. We'll practice in those games, if I want to start recruiting. This isn't the only game in the world, Hells Angel.

As I've said before the site is a news site, and will always be one right now. The recruiting comes later. If you think I'm stupid, that's your opinion, but why even bother posting?

Maybe you just wanted to be smart? I see no other reason, really. Calling people names is childish, and accomplishes nothing.

Thanks for the post, though, I know what kind of person you are now.

Hells Angel- I suppose he's taken offence to your (intentional?) implication that the people who are making names for these squads (or whatever you want to call them) are stupid.

Wolfshook- Calm down, I don't think he meant anything by it, he just doesn't see a point to making squads right now. He's not tryng to insult you or anything. Atleast, that's how it looks to me.

ahhhh... I play DoD, and its fun to play the germans, once in awhile http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/wink.gif

For my squad in MOH, we will be the 3rd Infantry Division.
