what you do.......unhook from router.....hook cable to modem directly, get on net.

Cant host through a router sorry.

Don't listen to him. all you need to do is port fowarding.

You need to set acces so that 12203 -12300 goes to your ip address of your computer
for instance when someone tries to connect to 66.158.44.123 it should be redirected to your ip such as 192.168.1.112
I am hosting AK Cheeseburger server through a router
so i know it works

have fun

Are you serious? oOo: You have to foreward the ports that MOHAA uses so the outside world can see the server. Otherwise, you put the box in the DMZ so all ports are open, but disable the DMZ once you are done. mohadmin.com has guides for this.

dmz didnt work ? it worked for me on a dlink router a long time ago. i havent tried it in a while. did you try the guides at mohadmin.com ?

DDB101st 04-07-2003 11:54 AM

well does the DMZ activate gamespy? for allowing others to view the server on a list? well i tried hosting a game on a DMZ and no one came in! so i am not sure really if it worked or not, but when i tried to host a roger wilcow server no one could join...... so im stuck i tried calling tech. support but i knew more than the guy.... so i guess im stuck and which guid on mohadmin.com should i use?

Linksys

I have a linksys router as well. I made it a dmz host and then people could join my server through gamespy. It was short lived though. It would kick them after a min or so every damn time. Had a Siemens router and DMZ never did work on that POS.
