Iraq to halt Missile Destruction
 

An adviser to President Saddam Hussein said on Sunday Iraq would stop destroying its banned al-Samoud 2 missile if the United States pressed ahead with plans to invade outside the authority of the United Nations. "If it turns out that in early stages during this month America is not going the legal way...why should we continue (destroying the missiles)?" General Amer al-Saadi told a news conference.

id hate to be iraq right now. you know the americans are going to invade no matter what but do you distroy the missiles now which will stall the invasion or do you keep them so you can use them when fighting with the states in a war which will start soon. id hate to have to choose but if i had to id keep the missiles & use them to go down fighting.

Welcome to the world of international politics. Bush is going to bide his time, because if it does come to war, no one will be able to say that he did not give Saddam a chance.
