OK I went to your link. It is a web site. Nice though it is, not sure how one plays MOH there.
What do you mean you are running the realistic mod? I thought only game spy had rights to host multiplayer games for MOHAA right now. |
Notice that little string of numbers under the website: that is the IP to the server.

ahhh. I have not a clue how to connect via ip addresses.
I am on road runner cable, under a household network using a linksys hub (in case any of that matters). How do I use that ip address? where in the game do you type it etc? thanks |
In the multiplayer demo's main screen, go to the multiplayer room, and click join game. A prompt will come up asking if you wish to connect to an internet game. Select YES. Another prompt asks if you wish to use gamespy, or connect via an ip addy. Type the IP in the space poovided at the bottom, and click IP. That should get ya goin http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif

I have been playing Chthulu's (sp?) server with the Realistic Mod (3 grendades and one well placed round from a rifle or Thompson will bring someone down, etc.)
It is SO much better, IMO, than the Land of Oz servers where you can paint someone up and down at point blank range and they don't die, which makes the bazooka and sniper rifle way too advantageous. Anyway, that server crashes all the time because it is set for 32 people but can only really handle 24. Can people please list other servers that use the Realistic Mod? I just don't want to waist my time in grenade fests with weak mgs. Thanks. (I noticed one server that said Realism, but in fact was still the fakey model, just had FF on. So I am looking for the actual Realistic Damage Model.) |
Your welcome to come visit us, we are running it http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif
