As stated in the readme file, the demo doesn't support Windows 2000. I tried giving it a go, but after the startup/loading/whatever window is finished, the screen goes black and locks up the computer.

Do 2015 intend to provide W2K support in the full product, or will I have to change my OS just to play the game?

I am running a server using Windows 2000 Server, played on it a few times before made it "Dedicated" and play on another PC that uses Windows 2000 Professional.
The server has a GF2 card and my gaming PC has a GF3 card.
Both are using the 21.85 drivers and run with no problems.

I suspect your problem may be with the drivers...what are your system specifications?

P3 500 with 128Mb RAM and a Voodoo 3 3000. If anything, I'd guess its the latter. The latest (or last) drivers are installed.

To play the game you may have to bypass the EA and 2015 intro by editing a file..unfortunaely that "how to" information was posted at alliedassault.net

It looks to me like you need new drivers for the voodoo 3. Try www.voodooflies.com and look for the latest 3rd party drivers for your card on your OS.

wish people would give up the ghost of 3dfx already.
Hell at BestBuy you can get a geforce2 32mb for $79 and get a $30 rebate.
Thats $49 end price for those who go to public schools.

Updated the Voodoo drivers to the most recent and popular I could find. Still produces a black screen of death, even with movies/legal notices disabled. The Voodoo clicks on, then the computer needs restarting (Windows is still active in the background as pressing Alt+Enter produces the ding noise, but I can't get back to it).

Does anyone know the command to enter the SP demo using safe mode? Maybe that'll help.

Y 3D gamers say that the game wont work with win 2000. Ive tried it with 3 PC and it works well. The first PC is an Athlon XP 1600, the other is a TB 1400 and the last is a Athlon 350 http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif and it works well http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
