problems with bf1942
 

ok, i have been playing normal bf1942 for months now & i finally went out & got the expansion. now i installed it, loaded the game but i coulnt join any servers cause i dint have the patch so i got the patch & installed it. now when i try to load the game it gives me a black screen (just like it always did when the game normally loads) but it just drops to desktop after about 3 seconds. dosent even load the intro video. cry:

Open up the defaultconfig. something in mods/bf1942, and change allow all refresh rates or something to 1. I had that when I was playing the game. I tried out the expansion, and it's so retarded...Not even worth it in my opinion. A couple new skins, a few vehicles, 2 new weapons, and some maps. Definately not worth it. Just my opinion. Hope that helps.

meh, i bought it so now i dont have to worry about fucking around with no-cd things as well their are more RTR servers than normal around now. BTW i tried that & it still dosent work cry:

I'm having that same problem. Maybe its because its cupcaked.

Same here.
It worked fine with ver 1.2
Now with 1.31(and previous 1.3) I get random CTD.
Tried just about everything :(

Put in the patch, V1.31 and see if that still occurs.
