Scanner Question?
Hey guys I have a Mustek MFS-12000SP Scanner that we use on our downstairs computer, which is Win98Se. I am trying to hook it up to my computer (Win XP Pro) but cannot find any drivers that are compatable. If anyone knows anywhere for lots of drivers, or any ideas I could really use them. Thanks

1) I don't believe that scanner is compatible with WinXP, as I have the same one.
2) They took all of their drivers off their website, so I don't think you can get them for your OS. 3) If they ARE compatible with WinXP, when you plug it in, it should install the drivers automatically. I'll see what I can dig up for you. |

yeah, I think I agree that it isnt XP compatible, I remember reading somewhere that a few scanners are not able to work on XP, and this one could possibly it. you could give that driver a try if you really wanted though........

Damn, I thought that might happen. Oh well thanks for the help fellas, looks like me and you gotta get new scanners eh Joe? lol biggrin:

lol seriously.
Ok I forgot that I had 98 on my comp too...lol...cuz I run a dual boot. Anywho, I install the drivers in 98 and it gives me an error when trying to scan....says that it cannot find the source file? |
Did it actually scan the file, then say this? Or did you try to scan and it didn't and gave the error. Gimme the exact error msg, too.
|
In Photoshop I go to Import, Mustek F/B Scanner...
Error Message- Could not opent he Twain Source. Make sure there is a valid source for your scanner in the TWAIN directory found in the Windows directory. |
Oh sorry, I was Not Able to scan anything. When I click Mustek F/B Scanner, thats what I get =\

Man, you two have almost the same sig, heh.
Well, that means it couldn't detect the drivers for the scanner, basically. |
