Settings The Refresh Rate?
 

Currently stuck @ 60 which is annoying. How can I edit it?

what is your OS for 1 and 2what is your Video card 3 what is your monitor
and what can u set the refresh rate at in your Advance settings in your
Video Card their you can set the refresh rate to what ever you want it to.

Use Riva Tuner.

Make sure you have the proper drivers for your monitor(don't use "plug 'n play" driver), then use refreshforce:

***ALERT*** n00b question.

ok, so my refresh rate is at the xp default. as i read the webpage at rf, this is not a good thing for my game playing? but, i wonder what the difference is between running at xps defualt refresh rate when compared to "fixing" the refresh rate to whatever setting it need. what does refresh rate do basically?

The default refresh rate for winxp in game is 60hz, this hurts your eyes after a while.

Btw why's your name so familiar to me eek: you an endeffect\boro member?

I hear xp has a nasty habit of not carrying your system refresh rate over to games when you boot them. It will default back to the xp defualt of 60mhz. The more I read about xp, the happier I am with my decision to go with 2000.

and yeah..i was with e23 and then along to boro with the merge. i resigned shortly thereafter.
