Recomended resolution for 17" monitors are 1024 X 768. I have a 19" Viewsonic, therefore I set mine one notch higher 1280 X 1024.

Y i tried 1280 * 1024 put its not ( im french so exuse me for my english ) proprotionnal ( dunno the word in english ). Like 1024 * 768 -> 1280 * 960 and not 1280 * 1024, so it looks weird. I dunno if it do the same thing with a 19' http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/confused.gif

Do your have drivers for your monitor, most LCD monitors come with drivers. The manual should tell you what res. your LCD should run at

Most 17' Monitors support 1280 * 1024 . I wonder why it flickers, even at 85 refresh rate.
