I can somewhat help you on the first issue...I get the same thing using ASE..It usually happens only once and when I try to reconnect it finally goes through...I'm not to familiar with Gamespy but sometimes it is caused by either a very busy or bad router somewhere between you and the server you are trying to connect to..There may be other things that cause this as well but I can only go on what my personal experiance. One way to check if it is a bad router or packet loss along the way is with a program called Visual Route..you can get a trial version here...

[url:35a7e]http://www.visualware.com/visualroute/index.html[/url:35a7e]

After installing and running..just enter the IP address of the server you are trying to connect to and it will visually trace the route that is being used to connect to the server and also tell you Packet Loss percentages and other info..

Joining games: Got the latest patch? Can't think of anything else...

Color in Scopes: Umm, I'm no expert, but just select a color you want when in PSP and paint it on the scope. BTW: Is there any good tutorial out there for scopemaking?
