Is there a console command to turn off player bobbing like in quake 3 or any quake engine game..
ex. cg_bobroll, cl_bobup...some ppl get motion sickness from this being on, I just prefer to play w/out all the bobbing, and MOH-AA bobbing seems a bit overkill for my tastes..I know its for realism but when I walk I dont bob around and sway that bad(maybe if I weighed 450 lbs.), also can the compass be disabled, and the death messages that show up---the messages take up a lot of screen space that sometimes be very annoying when looking for enemies or in a firefight it can block your FOV..Thanks

bobbing ? what are you talking, I dont see any bobbing. If so, then its in all FPS games.

Id also like the compass gone, but not remove the frag-messages - though they can be much smaller and less obtrusive.

Player bobbing is when you walk your fov moves from left to right up and down, your gun bounces, yes all fps games do this, but all quake engine games have console commands to disable. I think quake 1 it was called cl_bob, and q3 its cg_bobroll and etc.
Heres an example I use these caommands in Half-Life to disable bobbing--->

cl_rollangle 0
cl_rollspeed 0
cl_bob 0
cl_bobcycle 0
cl_bobup 0

here is Quake 3 bobbing disabled----->

seta cg_bobroll "0"
seta cg_bobpitch "0"
seta cg_bobup "0"
seta cg_runroll "0"
seta cg_runpitch "0"

another command from Quake 1 is kickpitch with this disabled (from console) when you get hit with weapons it doesn't shift your vision--there is a command similiar to this in MOH but I think it's a server command (havn't figured out all cvars yet)

There is a mod that makes the compass and the messages smaller. I dont know the name but I will if my friend still has it.

In the console, type;

ui_compass 0

turns compass off...

ui_compass 1

turns compass on...

there is a mod that makes the Compass transparent and the font, health bar, gun ammo and virtually everything else smaller. Its called Redsoccerdevil's Ultimate Hud Mod and its somewhere on the Mods n Skins section. So if you want to look, it really is worth the download and i think it will help satify what you are looking for.
