ok, u know the scene on omaha where jackson snipes the machine gun nest and then the german falls down the hill....

how can one bullet cause all of the sandbags to fall apart and cause him to fall forward with so much ferocity???

maybe the gun fell to?
or he is just really fat

Maybe he knocked out the sandbag on the bottem, causing the others to be unstable? I dunno, its a movie lol.

mind you, springfeilds are very very powerful, i wouldnt doubt that it could actually do that

He shot the soldier, the soldier fell forward causing the sandbags to come down

I always thought he hit the soldier, then the soldier fell through the sandbags.

Well if you watch closely he shoots and causes a big dust explosion, indicating he hit the sandbags. My theory:

The bullet somehow went through the sandbag, causing the sand explosion. It then hit the soldier, causing him to fall through the already loose sandbags (caused by the bullet).

Maybe it hit on the liitle tiny crack, causing it to burst, and go through to hit the soldier and knock him over.

Maybe Speilberg thought it looked good cinamaticly* and put it in the film.

If you watch it Hanks says 'See that impact spot, shoot that, was was a little area that was weak he shot that and the german was leaning on the sandbags with the MG, a little weight of either of them and it comes tumbling down.

huh, i thought he said impact crator... as in use that impact crator for cover. The MG couldn't get him, kind of like MOHAA. I reckon it don't matter none too much, as long as the movie kicked as much ass as it did. Still would be nice to know the truth though, almost like that whole willie conspiracy... toot toot.

there was this other movie called dirty dozen. in the moview there were people in high buildings and when theyg e thsot they fall forward.
