HOW DOES YOUR CITY RANK?

[url=http://money.cnn.com/best/bplive/:9db25]Stats about your city against national average[/url:9db25]

So far, New York is the WORST place to live if you aren't trying to go broke. 8.25% sales fucking tax. Nearly 10% of your god damned purchase? And those crime and pollution ratings - damn.

New York is considered one of the safest cities to live in the U.S., thanks to Guliani.

LA has liberals with a 8.25% tax. And a horrible transportation system....Crime may be that 9th safest but we led the country in murders...
Plus while New York protects the statue of Liberty and the brooklyn bridge. We protect Disneyland and Universal Studios......

8.8% sales tax here.

With a below average household income of 55,113, spending more on auto insurance at $722.48. Average house cost $340,291 well above the nat avg.

Pretty fucked up place to live.

Ok - regarding NEW YORK. It has a low crime rate PER person. So out of 1000 people, 33 are victimes of crime.

It's crime RISK though tells the full story. 195 versus a national average of 100.

I mean. Really.

NEW YORK (MONEY Magazine) - Austin residents enjoy the best of both worlds: a stylish, exciting urban life, but without a lot of the hassles big cities are known for.
