Ghost Recon. . .worth it?
 

Before I drop $39.99 on the Ghost Recon Gold Pack, I wanted to know how the game is, Single Player, Multiplayer. Especially the sniping aspect. Any feedback is appreciated.

its good, but nothing like mohaa, the stuff you can do with the sniper is super cool like go prone and hide in the grass

I loved it...

Its pretty good besides some AI and physics issues. Don't take you bots inside small buildings... they will get stuck on the wall and trap you inside.

Rainbow 6 is better.

Besides what Gothic said, its really good. Fun gameplay, tons of pretty cool guns. I also hate not seeing the gun

I just downloaded the Demo, its really good..and runs quite well with all settings maxed, not a bad game biggrin:

I enjoyed the game. Wasn't super or anything out of this world but definitely
worth the download... err, I mean, price... PRICE!

I don't play any of the Ghost Recon games bcause when they 1st came out, you couldn't see your weapon....just the sights (I hate not being able to see the weapon). I don't know if the newer games corrected this.

Ghost recon is a great game, the engine is kind of old looking, but its nonetheless a better game than Rainbow 6 (not raven shield biggrin: )

I hated ghost recon, i gave it away. (xbox version) to my friends boyfriend.

The AI is either too good or too stupid.
like they will be shooting at enemy you cant even see yourself, which doesnt make the game much fun for you, and other times they will stand there and get shot because the enemy is hidden behind a rock, and the ai doesnt think about moving for cover etc.
The grenades are shit to fire, and the explosions themselves are shit.
You can shoot up cars and buses parked in carparks and they dont explode. now im sorry but that doesnt account to being very realistic does it?

The game is almost completely linear too.

the things i liked though were soldier careers that gained experience the longer they stayed alive, and medals and stuff, and the weapons choices were nice...

but give me operation flashpoint any day.

I love this game soooo much. I have the comp version and the X_Box version. I play X-Box the most though. I beat the game but I usually only play it online with X-Box Live. Anyone else have it and LIVE my gamer tag is Psykomantis .

you can buy it off mirc for 731 megabytes i think, but thats just the regular normal one.

so you cant see your gun while you play?
man that sucks

I think it's a really good game, I love it. The WW2 mod, War of Infamy is also real fun, a dark map running across a German occupied farm is intense.
