Trouble with Map Rotation List
Could one of you guys help me out. In AA I'm having trouble setting up a map rotation list. I type in the names of the custom maps in the same fashion as the default list but with the custom map names and it won't cycle through the list. It just drops me back out to the main screen. I've been having to run one map and when the frag/time limit is up, quickly exit out to the main menu and start a new one. My players aren't too keen on this as it creates a 5 or 10 second overlap where they are dumped back into the original map and then move on to the new one.
HELP!! What am I doing wrong? oOo: |
Are you 100% sure you have map names right?

Is this for a dedicated or non-dedicated server? If dedicated, please post your server.CFG. Just make sure to change your pass when you post it!

Non-Dedicated. And I'm certain the map names are being typed in correctly. I'm pretty new to this though, so I'm sure I'm doing something wrong.

Yea, the map names need to be correct and also the prefix of the type of map. For example, dm/mohdm1 to play the TDM map Southern France. If it were objective it would be something like obj/obj_team1. For custom maps you'd first need the correct custom map name as MOH would see it. Best way to do this is type "maplist" into the console, then double click on the gametype directory to find your map's name. The directory is the same thing as the prefix, so if your TDM map was Thunder, then it would probably be something like "dm/thunder". If it were the objective Market Garden, it would be something like "obj/maromg" or something like that (I don't remember the exact names by heart, so you'll have to double check those names).
Hope that helps. |
