AP Tests

Have any of you guys taken any AP tests? I'm going to take my first one in AP American United States History on May 9th. It is going to be soooooo freakin' hard. That's all i have to say.

If you have any tips, post them up here. Any websites, post them here. I have a review website for US history and i'll post it once i get on my own computer.

Study... a lot. I took the AP US history exam 4 years ago... Its not THAT hard, just really in debth.

I'm taking a US History and Computer Science I AP test. I think the hardest thing will be writing the DBQ (for history) in 45 minutes.

Took the AP Physics test. THAT was a hard test.

The best thing you can do is see if anyone in your school has taken the test, and ask them the stlye of questions they ask. There is NO WAY you can know whats on the test - so theres no point in studying in depth a ton of material.

I know on one AP test i took (that I didnt pay for) a bunch of us just wrote a bunch of shit in the little text boxes like "fuck you you dirty bastard...not even Hawking can figure this shit out"...so on and so forth. I mean we were laughing our asses off to how ridiculously hard the thing was.

Not sure how much that will help you this close to the exam though.

exactly...We did an in-class practice DBQ yesterday and I think i did pretty well on it. It was about dropping the Atomic bomb on Japan. BUT, the thing that sucks is we won't know the time period for the DBQ. Every previous year, they gave a 50 year time period---not this year; we're the guinnie pigs with their new method. I'm pretty good if i know what the time will be. But i know i won't be able to remember any key terms on May 9th. cry:

Gothic, what did you get on the test? I'm guessing you passed?

I only got an 83. Never been too good at big tests.

You'll do fine.

Weird..so did we. I got an 85 on mine. I was against the idea that the bombs were dropped to intimidate the Soviets, but I didn't use enough documents and lost several points. She pulled a cheap one on us and posted the documents around the room, allowing us 1.5 minutes to read each one. (instead of giving us a packet) And that's not enough time to read the passage and jot down good notes about it... Anyways, I've heard rumors (from my teacher) that the topic this year will be on modern times, possibly Vietnam.

ugh, i hate super-smart people biggrin:

I hate super smart people who complain when they get 96% on a test instead of 98%. While I sit with like a high 70 or low 80 and they are complaining about a 96, give me a fucking break.
