Objective Mode: after death, immediatily play ?
 

Hello friends !

Yesterday I played on a server in an Objective Mode. After I was shot, I could play again, again and again.

So, normally, after you are death, you have to wait during the game has finished - after that, you can start to play again.

How I can change that or is there any file I can download ?

hello, so here is the truth:

this should not be a cheat - this modification was for all the same.
so it allows you, that you can play emmidiatly after you are death.

but all other people can do the same.

i think you mean obj based gametype like omaha, you respawn after your death, right?

Wow, wenis's here i tell ya. It was a server sided modded obj map. Was modded to be tdm style.

The server had an objective respawn mod on, its a server side mod that allows you to respawn on obj maps, there kinda fun for something diferent every once in a while...

okay, is this called cheating now or not ?

I´ve posteted an other thread where I asked with the word cheating.
some people don´t like the word or have still other problems.
and okay, at first I thought, that this modification is only for one person, and the other players can´t do that - that is unfair. I thought it at first,that that modification is only for one person, but that isn´t the truth - I know now.

well, I think it´s okay for talking about that - hey come om, stay cool and don´t worry, it´s af orum - and in the forum we should talk.

and if I would ask really for such cheating things what many other people understand, so - it´s only a question.

Objective respawn is a server setting, its not cheating if everyones doing it!

Yeah, I was playing 'The Hunt' one time, same deal. Since discovered the serverside mod that allows for it. Personally, I find the objective games more fun that just random killing. People tend to work more as a team. (Chuckles from audience) Whether its cheating or not, that can go up for debate, but if you get bored easily waiting to respawn, you may find the time best filled by sitting back, and watching the remaining members of your team generally screw things up even more, sometimes with highly entertaining results. Or you could just do some knitting instead.

this has GOT to be the MOST well worded..and intellegent response, that I've seen on these forums in quite some time. Glad to see some people use thier brains (and all they learned from english classes, be it college or high school) from time to time!

to answer the question posed, yes its just a server side setting that allows for respawning on obj maps. do a search on this site for it. easy as pie.
