Doom 3 Demo-Wow whatta game!!!

My friend got his hands on an unofficial Doom 3 demo, and it Rocks!!!!!

The graphics are absolutely amazing, it looked like a CGI movie (Final Fantasy, etc...), this game is gonna set the bar for 1st person shooter engines.

The cool thing is that game has a great story and there are some pretty cool Cut scenes that appear at different parts, usually before you go head to head with a "boss" character.

Also, make sure you gotta cutting edge comp. with as much resources as possible, your gonna need everybit of it to run this game.

Yep.

Tried it a long time ago... when I still had a GF2 GTS! ed:

Pretty sweet overall. I want to see what another developer will do with the
engine! Imagine the possibilities...

Yep, this game should be top notch. I have been trying to time some of my pc upgrades around projcted release dates for this. I am planning on bumping my ram up to a gig soon and I am holding out for a new vid card for when this game is released.

oOo:

WWII themes are cool and I had my time when I tried to soak up as much info as I could about the pacific theatre, but I play games because the gameplay is good. Or at least thats what keeps me playing them.

man i saw some screenys from that game and i thought it was seriously a fuckin movie

The only thing that sucks is that it doesn't support the newer nvidia drivers, you have to go back to like 41.30 to play it, otherwise it locks up. Many of the weapons are modeled after Quake's weapons, most likely because it is just an alpha demo release. If you modify the configs you can get any of the weapons, and enable all of the main features in the game.

I think he's referring to the new demo that was released to a bunch of the card-makers, and not the early E3 show alpha that was leaked. Either way, I agree the games gonna be sweet, both in gameplay and presentation of graphics.

It's a leaked demo, so please don't ask for links.

It's basically, from what I heard (I didn't try it) it's just a different map, with a little more of the effects expected in the game (graphics, high detail, etc) and there's a boss at the end.

Why did my post get changed when someone posted the link to the full Postal 2 game in that thread?
