Enter the Matrix game - 6 discs!!!!!
Can you beleive that? 6 discs for a pc game. WTF!!! Whats that, up to 4 gig?
http://pc.ign.com/articles/393/393511p1.html Thats just insane. I bet its just movie clips and an excuse to jack the price up. I would have to clear up harddrive space just to find a place to manipulate the "install". |
yeah. that's alot. most games today only have 3. and i think you're right, probabaly just movies and other stuff
Nah it's not even 3 GB. Try getting MGS2 Substance, it comes to about the same, except it's 5 discs. The total after extracting is 8GB, I believe it was originally on DVD9.
Assuming they use the disks at full capacity, the game is a potential...
6 disks x 700megs = 4200megs... = 4.2gigs |
The game uses DVD-quality film, straight from the new movie, along with some storyline scenes that aren't in the movie. It looks like an OK game.

i dont see how much depth i can have without revealing too much about the movie / just being a shooter
Sooner they start putting pc games on dvd the better, i mean how many pc games actually come out on dvd? Only ones i can think of are those interactive porn "games". oOo:

This is why we should start making games for DVD for PC. If MGS and MATRIX both came out on DVD that would be a trend setter and hopefully people would start switching to DVD-ROMs. I remember how pissed i was when games kept coming out for CD-ROM and i had a crappy laptop with a disk drive only.

Enter the Matrix is going to kick ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hmm, wonder how much the PS2 will have. Plus, if it isn't just all movies and stuff, it wouldn't surprise me. They did a SHIT load of motion capture, and all of that other fun stuff. It looks good to me.
Haw, just read it. 2 discs...I'm an idiot.
Your sig is a little bit big, don't ya think? oOo:
It's not big at all.
Thought there were size restrictions.
