Skinning Compasses?
 
Hello... New to these boards (but not to the site) and I just got into modding over the past few days. I have made a few sniper scopes, redid the posters, and I'm working on skinning a player model... what I was wondering was, exactly what files will I have to modify to reskin a compass? I am looking to retain the circular shape but with completely new designs on it, new N/S/E/W symbols, new arrows, ball bearing, etc. I downloaded a couple of them off this site but they all mod slightly different files... what do you guys suggest I would do? Thanks for your time, and help would be appreciated biggrin:

pak1 texures/hud

any tga with compass in the name.

Ah... lol I already knew that much =P
I was just wondering which of those are neccessary to redo, it seems like alot of them are just duplicates of others there... oh well, I'll rework them all I suppose. Thanks anyway guys biggrin:

The ones you need to do:

In pak1.pk3\textures\hud\

compassback.tga
compassface.tga
compassneedle.tga
compassobjarrow.tga
compassobjball.tga

Optional: compasspain.tga. This file is responsible for a wedge of the compass flashing red when you take a hit.

If you also want to alter the size, check out pak0.pk3\ui\hud_compass.urc.

Aha! Thanks, I'll go work on it. I don't really see any point in releasing it to the public, mainly because I am making it for my clan (I.E. Clan tag on it, etc.) but I really appreciate the help happy:
