You only have one, wow

I have two on my power supply, one on the back, one on the side panel, and two on the front.

Suggest you get a couple more, they cost much and are easy to istall.

You dont want your PC over heating on ya. mad:

Moved to Offtopic.

Airflow should always be directed to the rear. Any front bezel fans should be blowing air in, and the power supply/rear fans blow out. Any additional fans should blow in also.

Exaust are allways on the back. All else is intake. Mine has 2 intake on front, 2 exaust on rear, 1 in on ps and 1 out. Also 1 side in.

I have one on each side blowing in and one in the back blowing out.

You should offset the airflow so it goes across the components inside the case. One example would be to have the intake fans on the front of the case mounted low and the exhaust fans at the rear of the case mounted high (or vice versa). That way, you get airflow moving through the entire case.

the drawback to a lot of fans is the computer sounds like a car engine, but after a while you dont notice it

Exatox 04-27-2003 10:33 PM

Nah, if you get quality fans its not such a problem. I have 6 fans and my cd rom drive at full spped is louder than the fans.

BTW if your fans are dirty, stick them in the dishwasher. It works great with keyboards too, just don't use soap and make sure they are dry!

there's suppose to be one fan in front to blow air in then one fan on the back to blow air out.

The case all together has 7 cooling fans...but my comp seems to be running high on the temp...the fan on the side was blowing air out

You should get better cooling with more fans. One of the biggest advantage of more fans, is that you can run them slower and still maintain good airflow, and slower means quieter. Your computer will be as loud as your loudest fan, usually your processor or videocard fan.

And you get what you pay for with case fans. The $8 special will not be as quiet as a $15-20 fan. I recommend pabst or thermal take fans and always ones with adjustable speeds.
