p4b533 and the 2.4ghz cpu
http://usa.asus.com/mb/socket478/p4b533/overview.htm
will it work? here's the part that concerns me: The P4B533 supports all socket 478 P4 processors including Willamette and Northwood up to 2.2GHz+. The 533MHz FSB increases bandwidth and improves overall system performance. i have a 2.4ghz cpu so will it work? the 2.2ghz they're talkign about is made by companies called willamette and northwood, so are they just talking about those 2 companie's 2.2ghz processor? |
i have an intel northwood p4 and 533 intel board

Yes Germ. You get the board, put the processor in and boot up. Once you get everything running, get the BIOS update from http://www.asus.com for the board, and you're good to go.
|
PS: Williamette & Northwood are not companies, they are the types of Intel Pentium 4 processors (Like DDR and RDRAM are types of RAM)

thanks guys and i promise there will be no more of these motherboard and cpu threads again, just wanted to be perfectly sure.
