Map wont test right.l..
UGH!
I downloaded MOHTOOLS yesterday, and was creating a simple empty room with one spawn and one light to make sure it would work. I did the BSP things I was supposed to do, and compiled the map correctly... Basically I followed all of the instructions on the Nemesis tutorial. Just doesnt work! When I select it for TEAM MATCH, put it as the only map in the selection, the bottom of the screen says "Loading" (no loading bar, just a button that says loading) and then suddenly stops and brings me to the main screen. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? fire1: swordfight: fire2: zooka: M16: mad: bigzooka: eatthis: |
Here we go.
First off....
1. Make sure the bsp is in the DM folder along with the other files for your map. 2. The fact that is shows a LOADING Icon flashing is only because it is being loaded for the first time and the computer must decide on what script to access, and partition the correct files, etc. 3. The answer to your question is when the game stops almost cerianly there will be a group of error messages there. YOU MUST post these messages of errors you get so I can evaluate your situation. Let me know these thinks and I can help. |

Chances are that you havn't put the correct spawn point in for the type of map you want...... Single Player = infoplayerstart Deathmatch = infoplayerdeathmatch TeamDM = infoplayerallied / infoplayeraxis Obj = infoplayerallied / infoplayeraxis TOW = infoplayerallied / infoplayeraxis I always have an infoplayerstart no matter what the map type though...... |
No, there werent any error messages that I saw...
I'll try infoplayerstart, i think thats what I used before though. |
If you are trying to make a team deathmatch map you need infoplayerallied / infoplayeraxis spawnpoints too
|
In OBJ and TOW, a player start is the spectator
|
I agree with Surgeon. Make sure there is an info> playerstart somewhere. And some info> axis and info> allied spawn points.
