What do you guys think....

About death....now please, be serious....for the past year and a half or so...I havnt been able to really sleep at all because ive been thinking about what happens when we die....

A while back, one of my friends Kyle died....by falling off of a waterfall in a local town...it was extremely sad, and still saddens me to this day....but I was just talking to my friend, and she was a really really close friend of his...she said she went to the falls where he died...by herself and was talking to him.....like just saying stuff to him, and she could feel some sort of 'presence'...and then she looked over and saw him, just like he looked in real life...looking over the falls...but she was to scared to walk over to him....then as she left, she could feel him with her....now, for some of you....you may not believe that, but i doubt she would make something up like that....and she wouldnt halloucinate it either...

She then went on to tell me that an indian seeker...told her she is very open minded and has a sort of 'psychic' trait to her.....i asked her about this john edwards guy...and if talking to spirits could actually work...and she said without a doubt, this can be done....now...all this may seem weird, but i totally believe her....what do you guys think about death and what happens.....and please....be serious

I highly doubt that you can talk to spirits but I think you have that feeling when someone very close you dies you can feel something is wrong.

I think your spirit stay on earth forever as long as somone remembers you. If your forget your soul will just disappear and you'll be gone forever. You won't be able to see other spirits, only what was important to you when you were alive. There is no heaven or hell.

Guarnere, all can be said in one simple sentence: there IS or ISN'T another
form of life following physical death.

When you die, one of two things will happen...

- NOTHING: You will be in a state of sleep, undisturbed by dreams.

- SOMETHING: You will experience a new state of consciousness.

You shouldn't fear death.

MrLevinstein 05-08-2003 04:49 AM

Death isn't something to be feared.

People always say what if you die? You'll never get to do all those things you wanted to do. Yeah but if I die, I won't know I wont get to experience those things.

I also do not believe in spirits, even though there is some really unexplained stuff that puzzles me and makes me question my own beliefs, its really all in the eye of the beholder.

I think death is an exciting and uncharted territory for the human mind. none of us know what happens after we die...I would like to believe that our "spirit" is transferred after we die, but that just doesn't go along with science. the thing that really sucks is you won't come back to life EVER again. bummer deal!

When a person dies, they go one or two places,Heaven or Hell. There is a way though to be svaed from spending eternity in hell, and that is by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. If you choose not to accept Him, you will die and go to hell, but by asking Jesus into your heart you will be saved and spend eternity in Heaven, why fear death when you know you will be in a better place? You can be saved by COnfessing with your mouth Jesus is Lord and Beliving your heart God rose Him from the dead.

I don't care much about death, it dosen't bother me. We all go sooner or later. I'm going to Iraq sometime later this year, whos to say that I won't die in combat, you know? There's no control over it, and that's just it.

If I die, I die, it dosen't faze me as much as it should, I guess.

LoneGunner87 05-08-2003 09:30 AM

Death dont matter to me if i die i die o fucking well. When it happens who cares we just go onto a better place.

Tiwaz 05-08-2003 10:47 AM

Death itself I do not fear. I'm just hoping the process of dying will not be too painful. Thinking about it doesn't change the fact that we are mortal. So why bother worrying...

We don't know for sure what happens. Religion can help, if that is what you like. Just try to live a good life.

What is 'good'? Try to figure it out.

I wrote a rather large philosophical story here, but I decided not to post that because I couldn't end it. I was going on and on and on. Because that is what philosophy is about. Why...why...why....it just never stops...

Live your life damnit! (and, of course, die...)

Airborne Butters 05-08-2003 12:22 PM

I know what that's like. One of my old freinds just died a few weeks ago. She was ina car crash. She flew out of the window and then the car rolled over her. Death is something you can't stop thinking about, but it's something you shouldn't think about. If people spend most of their lifes thinking about death, then they never enjoy life. I personally belief I'm going to heaven because I believe in God and Jesus. At first I was scared shitless about death, and how fast it can take us. But now, it's more of a "Just fuck death and start living"

To those who are religious: Do you HONESTLY believe the bullshit they force you to believe? Or its because you were raised that way, and you've grown to accept the lies?

I'm not trying to offend anyone or start any flame wars. Its an honest question.

I believe in ghosts and all that stuff, and I believe that when you die you go to either Purgatory then Heaven, or straight to hell

Well, i'm basically a "hard-core" Roman Catholic. Both my parents are roman catholic too. For your question, i believe that i wouldn't have been religious if they weren't. THAT doesn't mean that I don't believe in Catholisism...cause i do. I don't believe they are lies. I think there were definately lies to some degree, but I do believe in the present-day mass of Catholics.

I have never been forced to be a Catholic. In college, i will go to church every sunday and on Holy Days of Obligation. I do get "something" out of church and praying...i can't really put it in words. Don't get me wrong by the previous statement. I'm not one of those people that you see on the commercials for "SONGS FOR WORSHIP SOUNDTRACK". THOSE people are aaaa.....um.......aaa......... oOo: . I think that God does have forgiveness.

After you die, there is judgement. If you have been a ''respectable'' person or sorry for your crimes, then you will get into heaven. You might be thinking, "What happens to the aborted babies or people of other religious i.e. Islam?" Well, i think in those cases, you will be judged on how you lived your life. Many religions are based on being KIND to others and living in PEACE. If you attempted/accomplished that, then you're in good hands. For the aborted babies, I believe they go to "limbo". That's a place for all the people that didn't have a chance to get baptised.

Here's an interesting question. "These 'ghosts' can be described as around us. Do you believe that heaven may be here on Earth but 'in a different dimension'? Are these lost souls that are 'paying time for their sins'?"
