=EYECANDY 2.0 INCLUDED CONTENT ECMOHDM1=
I would like to get some ideas from the public concerning what you would like to see in the stock maps.
You will get a converted version for each of the stock maps: mohdm1 = ecmohdm1 mohdm2 = ecmohdm2 mohdm3 = ecmohdm3 mohdm4 = ecmohdm4 mohdm5 = ecmohdm5 IE: Kirchhof mohdm6 = ecmohdm6 mohdm7 = ecmohdm7 Everyone with EyeCandy will have these converted stock maps and some custom maps as well. You will be receiving a package made by the same Creator of German Assault; Steven Weir. This is the only way i can see making the full screen scope and sunflare mods, to name a few available. More on the included modifications in a nother post. This package will allow you to use any existing mods in a regular alliedassault server. This is also not intended to be concentrated as a realism or unrealistic conversion, this is to allow a new experience in a familiar environment, basically push the maximum amount of modification to the existing structure, and in no way is expected to be near finish on this release. This version will be the first to run off it's own .exe, easily modified as it evolves. I encourage all to contribute, with credit given accordingly. An in game credit screen will be incorporated as well. And so you are aware now, the program will include a serverside pk3 that is mandatory for servers, including only the essential files to limit the size. The server pk can be modified further as well. Now to the start of the first map: ecmohdm1: Southern France You can play the standard version outside EyeCandy, so this is where you can suggest anything you would like to see incorporated into the map for EyeCandy; Name Change?, Hidden/secret, Animation, Weapons, Models, Effects, Etc. Below are some pics to get the ball rolling. Environment mapped Monument: Additional Weapons: Models: Alternate roof access; ? Additional roof access restricted or added: ? i'll consider any suggestions anyone can offer, well...anyone with the exception of newt! If you have something you can offer send me a pm here, or email: eyecandy@dirtyrottentouchholes.com |
Looks so cool...
but if a V2 rocket crashed into that building, debrie would be everywhere and the building would be gone...but it looks good there! |
Definately keep roof access, because this map lacks on range weapons as it is, so atleast snipers have somewhere to sit. Also, if you can manage to get rid of that invisible wall that prevents you from jumping on the roof next to the crates in the back alley that would be nice for snipers too.

looks great!

Reply: K-9, i'm thinking of keeping that v2, just need to make some new models for the wall fragments. Only meant to be a starting point for now. My final intentions are a 1 to 5 min delay on an animated v2 crashing into the building.
Reply: Timur. my feelings exactly. I'm exploring the options for roof access now. |
i know how to get every single place possible in southern france it just requires teamwork. il show ya sometime cool:
|
Yeah well you can't do that in speahead. Patch stops you from jumping while on someone's head.
|
I know there are ways to get on the roofs, what I am saying is making it easier to get on them so snipers have more places to sit.

I've started the animation sequence for the v2, definitely would like to see more spots for snipers on this map. I just wish i could get into the original .bsp
...presently have an mg42 mounted on each side of the map, too much? |
gettin into the bsp
if i understand u right i would try scorpios mohaa tools
i have only tinkered with it but i understand u can getinto the bsp that way |
...
Thanks, tried it awhile back, no luck.
|
when u gonna release the mod?
|
You said everyone with Eye Candy will receive these maps. Do you need to register somewhere to receive them or will they be available on your site?
|
Availability...
Expect EyeCandy 2.0 in a few weeks.
Anyone that has EyeCandy 2.0 will receive all the maps and some undisclosed custom maps. Anyone with this version can join or host an EyeCandy 2.0 server and play any map included. Working with Gamespy and others to have a EyeCandy server link incorporated, as will the interface for EyeCandy having a built in server search, Etc. In each release after this changes and additions will be made according to player demand. This is everyone's opportunity to play a conversion [only conversion], with having full opportunity to contribute or suggest change, etc. The only thing needed after release is server hosting of the conversion. At the moment the Official EyeCandy Server is offline. And keep in mind this is not the final, but the first package to incorporate it's own .exe and interface. as far as the drt site, i'll give a hint... eyecandyconversion.com, coming soon, as well as the newly created |EC| clan for EyeCandy. Clan Administrators are MPOWELL1944 and myself. This version and all further releases will be available on the site with no need to register, and i would also welcome anyone to host the conversion on any site as long as it is not modified. This conversion only needs to be exposed and mentioned, the conversion and contents will speak the rest... If you are registered you will be notified of updates, if you do not you will not be notified, that simple. |
I just tried EyeCandy v1.2 (complete, war propaganda). I kind of like what you guys have done to the maps and menus. What I don't like is the sounds though. Take for instance the sniper...it sounds like you fire a rocket with it? Two bangs? Why is that.
My guess is the standard version only changes the maps (and menus)? Anyway, I'll probably give v2.0 a try as well. |
