Nonsolids in maps...?

Hey, been a while since I posted here but I'm in need of some help. In my reconstruction of "The Complex" from Goldeneye for MOH, I have run into a slight snafu. This is my first time working on a real map project on my own, everything else has been fooling around with tutorials. I can't figure out how to add the secret compartments in the walls like they are in the complex. Off the top of my head, I think there's four in the complex. They are disguised as walls but you can walk through them to a small hidden area simply to hide from enemies. In my attempt to recreate this, I am completely stuck. I tried selecting the brush and going to surface properties, and then clicked "non-solid." That option sometimes won't even stay applied, next time I open the surface properties it will be unchecked again. Other times, I get it to stay, but when I test it out in-game, it's a complete solid anyway. Anybody know how to make the a section of a wall non-solid? Any help would be appreciated.

Like the "hackers" who crash servers, you could create a wall using the lod toolset, right?

Ok, I got an answer that works from another forum. I just tested it out, and it works biggrin: All you need to do is highlight the brush you want to make a non-solid, right click, select scrip/object, and then hit N to bring up entity properties and check the NOT-SOLID box.
