Decided to try another P2P exchange service, just out of curiosity. Has anyone gotten this thing to work? I try to download something and nothing happens or it says 200 in que? Never had that issue with KaZaa Lite.

WinMX works really well for me when I need music. I always get good quality files as well, which I don't get from Kazaa.

Try switching between Primary and Secondary connections if you're behind a firewall or router. Otherwise just fiddle with your settings some.

i use overnet. uses the edonkey network.

the winmx chat rooms are all full of horny 40 year old men..

I use eMule (eDonkey network). You can find great quality files there. And bundled albums (all tracks of an album in a .zip or even multiple albums in a .zip). KaZaA can be useful to get popular music fast.

Win MX? Tried it once. Don't like it, not as many files as on KaZaA/eMule. Full of spyware crap as well.

KaZaA also spyware? Yes. Use KaZaA Lite.

winmx is crappy ....nuff said

WinMX isn't bad, because it gives you more detail about where your getting your file from, instead of just a username. It gives you their location, connection type, ping from you to them (even though dloading pretty much covers this), and their sharing abilities. It's a decent program, but the layout really bored me, so I stick with Kazaa Lite.
